Sea Isle City - My friend fell and hit his head at a local eatery recently. He was bleeding pretty good from his head. Apparently, our newly paid "EMS Division" was busy transporting a patient to the hospital. Another mutual aid ambulance was dispatched, but it took 35 minutes to arrive on scene after our 911 call. This is absolutely ridiculous. We were told that most of the volunteers have quit the Ambulance Corp., so the two paid EMTs have no local backup. Seems like a terrible thing by moving from what we had, to what we have.
