Sea Isle City - It's a shame city leadership places no importance on our city's historic buildings/residences. Other towns treasure their old buildings and celebrate their integral roles in their town's history and fabric. They have zoning laws to protect special places/encourage reuse of the buildings. Instead of simply renaming streets and alleys, and limiting Sea Isle's history to a room in the library, the city officials should help get historical nominations for these buildings. Surely, Busch's circa 1882 and Ludlam Island Lighthouse 1885 could have been on the state and national register of historic places.
