It seems odd that the Townsend's Inlet Civic Center has been hit

Sea Isle City - It seems odd that the Townsend's Inlet Civic Center has been hit with a heavy tax bill after supposedly not having paid taxes for years. If that's true, then it seems like someone in Sea Isle's been "asleep at the switch" with regard to maintaining records and collecting taxes. So then why the sudden attention? Simply correcting poor record keeping or perhaps someone has plans for the real estate on which the center sits? It might very well be a good idea for the center to become a non-profit and thereby possibly save the center vs. becoming another multilevel condo/retail space vinyl box.
