Sea Isle City - It is dangerous not to have maternal health care available in CMCo. Elimination rationale is - shortage of obstetricians, not enough pregnant women to serve, fine to travel to Shore Memorial. Studies demonstrate the danger/risks to the woman and fetus when services are less accessible. With huge number of vacationers to our “family” resorts, the actual number of pregnant women is much higher than just the residents; all childbearing women in our county are bearing a higher health risk as a result of the shutdown.
