Sea Isle City - It is almost time for "death race 2017," or the day of crazy cycling visitors. So we don't have to go through another summer of popping tums, near misses and maybe some outright tragedies, why don't the police from Cape May to Ocean City start to prepare a campaign of education and enforcement. Now is the time to roll out the public education campaigns and schedule public appearances. Now is the time to plan schedules to ensure that officers are assigned to actually enforce traffic laws as they apply to bicycles. Signs, posters, addressing groups, handouts in stores and, of course, summons.
