Sea Isle City - I have to question where a spouter was during the late 60s and early 70s if he says, "As a senior citizen, I can't remember a time in our past here where social tensions have been as high as now." Times are not good right now, but we are much better off than we were in 1969. Although we have been at war since 2001, it is being fought by volunteers, not draftees and there is no serious public division over these wars. I haven't noticed any war-related change in daily life in the U.S. Our economy has been worse and racial tensions in the 'civil rights era' were epic.
