I am not Catholic, but it's with great sadness that I read about

Sea Isle City - I am not Catholic, but it's with great sadness that I read about what is happening to St. Joseph Church in Sea Isle. It seems like a terrible waste to demolish a beautiful building that means so much to the parishioners. I understand that this is being done so as to build a spiritual center. I'm not exactly sure what is done in a spiritual center that couldn't be done elsewhere in the community in existing structures for the community with active involvement of the pastor and parishioners. Tearing down the church would certainly impact the spirit of the parish. Remember the word compassion.
