Sea Isle City - During Sea Isle's Council meeting, the police chief gave statistics for the number of calls, including those for "fire." Why does our fire siren in town sound a whole lot more than the numbers the chief is reporting? During the summer months, it is sounding sometimes twice per day, yet the chief only reports nine calls for fire. Why doesn't the fire chief also report to the council?
Moderator's Note:
The chief did not report fire statistics at the City Council meeting Sept. 26. The Herald pulled those statistics from Sea Isle City police reports from May to August 2017 from the city’s newsletters.
