Sea Isle City - Dominion Energy plans to build 176 wind turbines 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach. Meanwhile in Cape May County we are stuck with Orsted foisting 900 foot tall turbines just 15 miles from our coastline spoiling the majestic view of the ocean's horizon from our beaches. In any other industry, if a billion-dollar company were pushing these burdens and risks on an inattentive public at this scale, the screams from activists would move enough air to power a wind turbine or two off south jersey's shore.
