Sea Isle City - The closing of the Townsend's Inlet bridge coupled with the near impassibility of the Sea Isle causeway has prompted local officials to propose a six-year construction project for only open road out of Sea Isle toward Strathmere. The idea is that by choking off the last remaining exit road, the effect will be to make Sea Isle a modern day "Brigadoon," only reappearing out of the sea mist every six years.
