Sea Isle City - Changes in building codes does not change the problem with the existing buildings being built too close together, without alarm systems or sprinklers. A career fire department does not prevent fires from growing out of control before someone calls 911. Relying on mutual aid departments is not an answer to problems with your own department. If your town has a paid police department, public works department, ambulance squad and beach patrol, why do you not have at least two or three paid firefighters to man the station?
