Why spend $300,000 on decorative benches on the promenade? There are plenty of memorial benches up on the promenade. Just remove the ones the city is planning on replacing and move some of the memorial benches that are currently up there around to replace the ones the city wants to replaced. Then allow people to put up new ones all over the promenade and beach paths at the cost to those that want memorial benches. Then the city could put mini mats like ocean city has.
