Why is it we have noise ordinances, yet now the city can broadcast the mayors announcement every 20 minutes on the promenade? I live in the Spinnaker Condominium, and enjoy sitting on my balcony watching the ocean- hearing the seagulls and other shore birds. Now I have to deal with an echoing broken record of his announcement- which actually startles the birds, as well as pedestrians as they aren't expecting the "voice from the sky". Completely ruins the peaceful serenity that I used to enjoy.
