We don't need the Second Amendment anymore. We have a strong military to prevent any invasion and we have an excellent police force in every town in America. They didn't have those in the 18th century, so people needed to bear arms. That's not the case anymore.
Moderator's Note: Another reason for the Second Amendment is to protect ourselves against government, in case Washington becomes as intolerable as London.
