Thanks to the Herald for pursuing information on the sexual assault crimes in SIC. What is especially disturbing is there used to be a police substation at 40th St promenade that helped control the promenade and beach areas at night where the assaults occurred. There is a lack of security cameras on the promenade to aid law enforcement. Meanwhile city officials play politics and blame Gov. Murphy for all our juvenile problems and spend 15 million or more on a very questionable Rec center. Provide officers, facilities and cameras for Job 1 Public Safety. PR and Spin control is not needed.
