Sea Isle City’s Polar Bear Plunge has been a tradition for decades. This year the mayor changed the policy for city held events so there is no plunge. City counsel members have been quoted in newspapers saying they were unaware of the change and they should have been part of the decision making. The mayor is a local bar owner and he will host a St. Patrick’s Day parade, this is a great injustice to other business owners as they are unable to use city resources for their events, but the mayor seems able to use the police/fire/rescue and public works for his personal events whenever he wants?
