Our county was founded as a vacation retreat, a temporary summer escape from the doldrums of city life. The only reason 90 percent of our towns exist is because non-locals came here 100 years ago to spend their money for a few warm days each summer. The mere existence of your home is possible because of tourists. Do you ever travel outside of Cape May County? Perhaps to a a casino in AC or a show in NYC? You are also a tourist, a visitor.
