It's a bit concerning that someone is cutting down the pine trees in the beachfront dunes. I know the Japanese black pine is considered an invasive species, so I hope that the trees being cut down in the dunes are those, and not native pines being cut down by oceanfront owners who just want a clear view of the ocean. The fortification of the dunes is very important and I think a wide variety of foliage in the dunes actually makes the view and walk to the beach more attractive.
