I have been doing an extensive amount of research regarding my heritage . As an Irishman, I’m embarrassed to admit how little I knew about the so called “ potato famine”.It wasn’t that the crops failed, no the English deliberately starved the Irish people. Food was shipped to England while the Irish starved. It was a deliberate act of genocide. Of course, the English get a complete pass because most Irish don’t know or care about this atrocity. I know no English alive today were involved just like no American alive today held slaves but we are still held accountable. Why not the British?
