Can Council or the Administration explain to the tax payers why ONE gym owner is given use of our City’s property including Dealy Field and our beaches to provide three different basketball programs and at least two fitness programs and allowing her to collect and keep a large fee for these programs she provides on City (taxpayer) property? Wouldn’t it be fair to solicit proposals and allow all qualified individuals the opportunity to financially gain by using the City’s best properties? Isn’t there a law that requires this anyways?
