The beach on Ocean side of Townsend's bridge after some replenishing took another hit this week and a big chunk of sand was pulled out..Keep pumping sand onto Sea Isle beaches and sit back and watch Townsend inlet get destroyed. Pumping sand onto beaches does 2 things# 1 unlike the sand that was there is a different grain size and there is nothing to hold it in place ,strong moon tides MOVES IT,#2 The strong moon tides will push it into inlet and cause a current change and excessive erosion. Don't keep repeating things that don't work.
