Sea Isle City

Another Summer of bicycle-borne nightmares is upon us. Someone needs to start enforcing the laws, or at a minimum, educating the public, particularly tourists, about bikes. First of all, bikes are not pedestrians; they have to stop for stop signs and red lights. Drivers do not yield to bikes any differently from any other types of vehicles. Bikes cannot be driven on the sidewalk in business districts, and must be driven in the same direction as motor traffic. Perhaps the Herald could print a few front page, banner headline articles to catch as many people as possible. Violators need tickets!
