Sad to see New Jersey’s Attorney General, a Cape May County native, pushing to bring offshore wind turbines back off our coast after the long fight to keep them away. Even Ørsted’s own analysis cited the potential for a 15% decline in tourism if the turbines were installed, an alarming figure for a county whose economy depends heavily on visitors. Cape May County officials previously argued that such a decline could translate into significant losses for local businesses, hospitality workers, seasonal employees, and municipal revenues.
