Rio Grande - The subject of a recent Herald article, Alex Alexis, suggests that homeless people would respond positively to being given jobs or chores. Los Angeles recently implemented just such a program, whereby their homeless citizens are helping solve their litter problem. Google 'Los Angeles homeless trash.' Cape May County has a litter problem and a homeless problem. I suggest Middle Township follow LA's example and take Alexis up on his offer. I'm sure such a program would not constitute a panacea for either homelessness or litter, but it may improve both conditions.
