Rio Grande - Middle Township paid $110,000 to the county animal shelter for one year's worth of services? What exactly was that for? How many animals were taken there? As a full-time resident and taxpayer, I'd like to see a detailed report. An article detailing the county animal shelter billing practices in this paper would be greatly appreciated. Bravo to two of our committeemen for questioning that expense.

They did not pay the $110,000 bill this year, opting instead to go with Aunt Jane’s Kennel, at least temporarily.
