How can anyone get ahead in this county?

Rio Grande - How can anyone get ahead in this county? I work making barely enough to pay $1,100 a month for a motel room that has no stove, has holes in the walls and all. I go to Social Services for help because I cannot afford groceries, bus fare to get to work, and they say I make too much, which I don't, but a drug addict with five kids, no job or willingness to get one gets food stamps which then will be sold for drug money, gets all the help. All I need is a month to save my check and I would never again need help considering rent for a one bedroom is $750 a month. This county needs a reality check.
