Regarding superintendent salaries in CMC. An often proposed remedy is consolidation, but this is unlikely because school districts are a fiefdom, sopping w/ nepotism. Board members don’t want to give up that influence. Another path is for a rollback of power from the state DOE and a cutting of admin hired to fulfill their dictates.. Superintendents have a lot of underlings- Directors of Curriculum, Asst. Super for Sp.Ed., a Business Admin. Cut some of these and have the Super assume those duties.
