Re:LT 2nd home complainer. Many positives already mentioned, I'll point out the financial windfall for the permanent residents from the 2nd house owners. Most of those houses are not occupied 50% of the year, if not more. So everyone else wins from the full load still being carried in the unoccupied residence. Less traffic, no tax rebates for services not used (school, fire, library, police, trash etc), and paying sewer for a toilet not flushed. Imagine how much more everything would cost for the full timers if all those township services were not subsidized by the part timers.
