Regarding large wooded areas in the county: Trees clean the air, filter water, provide shade, habitats for birds, animals, pollinators, vernal pools, etc.; it’s all connected in nature. Maybe architects could meet with local nature organizations to find innovative ways for construction projects and nature to coexist for mutual benefit. Depending on the size of the project, sometimes even minor tweaks can have a positive impact. There might be some builders who would be interested in exploring this type of partnership; some already have.
