Recently,Cape May VFW Post 386 hosted an event featuring one of the candidates for Governor. The members of the VFW were looking forward to speaking with him about issues that concern veterans. Mayor Leusner of Middle Township ( not a veteran or member ) chose to attend, grab a beer and interject himself into every conversation and photograph with the candidate. Several members did not appreciate it. He acted like a service dog. There were other political functions that day in the city that he could have gone to. Don’t make it the “ look at me show “ at the expense of veterans.
