Re: the article about how Crest Memorial is working to improve their scores. "Pencil to Paper"? What a concept! Teaching cursive? How's that going to help? If they talked about building confidence once, they did it four or five times. Really? That's the key? How about raising expectations. For years there hasn't been a unified instructional focus at CMS. Now all of a sudden they get double digit improvements and they're still only in the 17th percentile? Just how bad were the scores before? At $40K per child that's the best you can do? Time to get new administration.
