Now that the gas pipeline to the B.L England plant has been denied, it is time to close that outdated, unneeded power plant and demolish it. It has always been an eyesore. Once demolished, the land could be cleaned up, preserved, and added to the Tuckahoe Wildlife Management area. Existing power plants in our area already generate all of the electricity we need. There is no need for the B. L. England plant, even if the gas pipeline had been approved.
