Parents make sure you are reading your PRISE packets and know your rights, and your children’s rights in special education. The district gets state and federal funding for those programs. Pay close attention to your children’s progress during the parent teacher conference vs the IEP meeting. The district wants to keep getting money because they are at a massive deficit. They may stop at nothing to get their money even at the expense of an inclusive least restrictive education for students. Advocate for your children!
