Over the years, Avalon has become increasingly stuffy. The town's great casual shore bars have been transformed into fancy resort bars. I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped at the bar at 27th and Dune. It had that great old-time shore vibe that made Avalon enjoyable. It reminded me of past summers at Jack's and the Bongo Room. Maybe it's the start of a trend! I miss old Avalon.
