Why do I need to even say this again? The Herald headline about saving the newborn underscores the fact that some among us must never have power again. We now know they can't be trusted. The police officer that responded is not only the tip of the spear when that’s unfortunately necessary, they also know what action to take in almost any situation. This officer & team saved that child’s life. Please explain to me how, and why, defund the police was ever allowed to occur? Someone? Anyone? Crickets? We’ve been terribly damaged as a people by the reckless, the careless, and the incompetent.
