We used a chat app to stay in touch with team members, and one of them sent a message to everyone saying the Twin Towers had been hit by an airplane and one tower was burning. Within an hour, family from Texas called to check on our safety. It felt like the East Coast was under attack by foreign invaders. By the end of the day, we were forever changed, and America knew its enemy.
