Ocean View - A newspaper Aug. 23 reported state highways are in worse condition in the country. Then, when you look at the cost per mile to repair, New Jersey has the highest cost per mile. Not surprising if you travel N.J. highways and see firsthand the excessive workforce standing around doing little but looking. This is in a state with more toll roads than any in the country, generating dollars that are supposed to be used for road repair, but as long as nothing but union labor is used, nothing will change.
