Ukraine’s heroic stand against Russia, the aggressor, is reminiscent of England’s heroic stand against Nazi Germany in the early stages of WWII. For a while most of the free world thought Hiltler’s aggression was not their problem and in fact for a while many thought Fascism was a viable alternative for Democracy as America believed the Oceans would protect us. I hope the free world realizes that you cannot appease a dictator with expansionist plans; WWII taught us that.
