Ocean City - For the Tuckahoe spouter who complained about the Twp. employee responding as a volunteer while on the clock: What do you think happens with volunteer firefighters who are employed in the private sector? Where does he/she think they come from? They leave their jobs and go to serve the community. Employers who lose money when their employees go to fires know they are saving a great deal of money by not paying for a career fire department; the trade off is more than reasonable. Doesn't the spouter realize that they get up and leave what ever else they were doing to provide service for free?
