Ocean City - The Stone Harbor police department consists of eighteen full-time sworn officers, four full-time dispatchers, three part-time dispatchers, one administrative assistant and one clerk. Additionally, sixteen officers are hired to serve during the summer season. If you do the math and subtract the chief, executive officers and detectives, that leaves three to four officer patrol platoons. That's not very many sets of eyes to patrol an empty town, looking for people stealing scrap metal.
