Ocean City - An online comment to a spout remarked, "Embrace and rejoice in our multiculturalism, it is what makes us a truly great nation." After a long and fairly accurate historical analysis, the commenter completely blew it with that statement. Our culture is a stew, a blending of flavors that comes from all of our origins. We have developed a unique American culture. Multiculturalism is like a meal in boot camp; several different foods are dropped on your plate together, each flavor fighting the other. By keeping cultures separate as the Europeans have done, we risk losing what made us better.
