Ocean City - Ocean City, "America's Greatest Family Resort," unless you're a child or attending a parade. Apparently, at some point, Mayor Jay Gillian decided that this year there will be no throwing of candy from floats. I've never seen so many disappointed children asking why nobody was throwing candy. Next time, put an article in the paper to let us know you've taken the fun out of it, and we can go elsewhere. I know as a child it was pretty much common sense that you don't run out into the street near the floats. But let's not leave any responsibility to the parents, let's just end the fun.
