My wishes for 2024: I wish political rhetoric could be toned dow

Ocean City - My wishes for 2024: I wish political rhetoric could be toned down significantly. Unfortunately, this seems like a pipe dream since both major affiliations are doing this on a minute-by-minute basis. Personally, I am not the biggest fan of either Biden or Trump, and after the 2020 debate, I couldn't stomach voting for either of them, as they made the debate feel more like an argument rather than a civic engagement. If there is any way to get back to the type of politics where we can speak to each other without being rhetorical or sarcastic, I would be extremely grateful.
