Ocean City - I read about the freeholder meeting July 9, and how three of the freeholders went after E. Marie Hayes. Don’t the freeholders realize this is an election year, and all they are doing is helping the other party get elected? I was surprised at the in-house fighting since they all hire family members or friends. It’s like the former chief in the Prosecutor's Office hiring his daughter with no experience, or the former prosecutor hiring his nephew with no experience. The freeholder director’s wife ran the county nursing home. Unfortunately, that is the way this county has been run.
