Ocean City - I have a hard time justifying some of the short-sighted dredging solutions our towns come up with. I support Avalon and Stone Harbor wanting to extend their beaches, however, it's my understanding that taking sand from Townsend's Inlet causes the newly-dredged Sea Isle beaches to erode. It happens time and time again. When all of our communities don't work in concert with one another, everyone in the county fails. It's the same old theme; one step forward, two steps backward. Neighboring towns vying for the same sand is not sustainable at all.
