Ocean City - I get a laugh out of the people who complain about the militarization of local police. These comments can only be based on a lack of education, a resentment for authority or a refusal to see moral degeneration of our society. The police didn't need tear gas and tanks to control the lawful protesters in MO, but they did need them to control rioting and looting. Our criminal element is better armed and equipped than ever before and there are well documented instances of gang members joining the military to learn weaponry and tactics. These are very simple cause and effect issues.
