Ocean City - The Avalon, "anti-gun" spouter is criticizing the "...let the crime occur and then punish the criminal" approach. Well, it is true, none of us want to see the crime occur to begin with, but gun control will not change humanity's tendency toward violence. Guns may facilitate violence, they don't cause it. Human nature does that. It is only by strictly enforcing and punishing gun criminals that we can hope to have any kind of deterrent of gun violence. Mass shootings are tragic and get much news time, but it is the thousands of inner-city gun murders that are the real tragedy.
