Ocean City - Anyone who thinks that the offshore wind turbine project is clean and green energy has not researched what this project entails. How can offshore wind be efficient and economical when it requires 2,000,000 acres of ocean and thousands of turbines. Each turbine will be surrounded by a quarter mile of cement on the ocean floor, materials are non-recycleable, and the turbines themselves use fossil fuels. It is unbelievable how people do not see how this is a purely political transaction at the expense of NJ taxpayers. I guess nuclear energy doesn’t make politicians richer.
