Anybody who has driven in downtown Ocean City between 9 a.m.

Ocean City - Anybody who has driven in downtown Ocean City between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any Saturday can see how absolutely irrational it would be to make Ninth Street a three-lane road to accommodate bicyclists. Yes, bikes are good for our health and the environment but we are still a motorized society and increasing traffic back-ups increases pollution not reduces it. Lots of us older folks can't use bicycles anymore and need our cars for mobility. Lots of family groups need to move large numbers of people and gear in cars. We have already yielded enough to bikes without further jamming Ninth Street.
