To those who consider beach replenishment as "socialism for the wealthy," an oxymoron by the way: Let's just imagine Cape May County with no developed barrier islands. Now, what do you suppose would be the basis for the local economy? Fishing? Farming? ATV tracks? Get real. There is nothing that could possibly support this county without tourism.
